Corporate Governance
The Board consists of 5 Non-Executive Directors and 2 Executive Directors. The Directors all possess qualification and a wide range of expertise and experience to enable them to contribute in their capacities as directors to the Group. The Board gives direction on the Group’s strategy, objectives and values and ensures procedures and practices are in place to implement governance and effective control over the Group’s assets and operations. The Board is able to discharge its responsibilities and authorities with regular reports from management on quarterly basis as well as the monthly management reports. The Board of Directors meets quarterly to review and monitor the Group’s progress with respect to strategic direction and operational effectiveness. The Board also operates Three Board Committees including Audit and Risk Committee, Human Resources Committee and Investment Committee mandated to provide oversight over financial reporting processes and internal control compliance human capital risks and opportunities respectively.

Abdinasir Ali Hassan
Being a principal shareholder of the Company, Abdinasir has been involved in formulating the strategy for the group and provided the required leadership and direction in the last 17 years, culminating into growth and expansion of the Company from a family business to the international oil marketing Company it is today
Wail Al Jamali
Wail Al Jamali is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of OTI and holds a Master's Degree (MEng) in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London. He is responsible for the Group’s trading and front office activities, with 15 years’ experience in the oil and gas sector. Prior to joining OTI in 2007, he worked with Schlumberger in Abu Dhabi as well as Sohar Refinery during its construction phase. Wail is also responsible for executing and implementing the company’s trading and origination strategies.
Ahmed Ali
Director Ahmed has over 30 years post qualification experience in Audit and Finance at Deloitte and DHL. He served in several capacities including Regional Director for Finance at DHL. Ahmed provide wealth of experience and know how to Hass Group. Ahmed chairs the Board Audit Committee and is a member of the HR sub-committee.
Abdulkadir Ahmed
Abdulkadir has served the Group in various capacities including Finance Director and Managing Director. In his current role, he is responsible for overseeing operations in the Horn of Africa ensuring that the operations in the region are in line with the Company’s growth strategy for the region.
Abdirashid Jabane
Experienced administrator having worked with government for over 25 years in a number of capacity including provincial Administration as well as the Office of the President in Kenya. He also sits in the BAC and chairs the HR Committee. Abdirashid is spear heading the Hass HR reforms initiated 2016 aimed at re-structuring and enhancing internal resources to fit company growth over the years.
Sam Naylor
Sam Naylor is Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of OTI, responsible for the leadership of the middle and back office functions that support the marketing and trading activities of the OTI Group. He is a UK ACA qualified chartered accountant, and has more than a decade of experience working with trading companies as an auditor, consultant and within the industry in finance related roles. He started his career with Deloitte’s Banking & Securities assurance group, moving on to Gazprom Marketing & Trading, before joining OTI in 2014 as Group Financial Controller and subsequently being appointed as CFO in 2015. Sam sits in the Board Audit Committee.

Over time, the Hass Group has actively supported various community initiatives, such as hospitals, health centres, water projects, and schools throughout the region. Our dedication to giving back remains steadfast. Through the Hass Foundation, we are committed to allocating a portion of our revenue to support community-driven endeavours, particularly in education, healthcare, and access to clean water.
